Tang Soo Do. What we teach.
Tang Soo Do as an organized martial art is approximately 60 years old. It’s origins, however, go back many centuries and bear the influence of of the martial cultures of China, Okinawa and Japan. In addition to Tang Soo Do students train in the Japanese art of Jujutsu, a system of unarmed combat that stresses joint locks, throws and takedowns. Classes are conducted in the traditional manner.
The dojang. Where we learn.
A serious and disciplined environment is maintained in the studio. Emphasis is on respect, humility, and commitment. The goal is development of an Indomitable Spirit. Classes are physical and active but also mentally challenging. Through commitment, sweat, trial and triumph students expand their limits, challenge and over come their fears and develop a positive framework for their lives.
